Ecuador Revisita Paraísos Fiscales y Regímenes Preferenciales

by Atty. Gabriel Pinto Navarrete

Head of the Tax Department

We announce a significant update from the Internal Revenue Service of Ecuador. Under the direction of Econ. Damián Alberto Larco Guamán, Resolution NAC-DGERCGC24-00000007 has been issued, marking a turning point in the management of tax havens in Ecuador 2024, preferential tax regimes in Ecuador, and jurisdictions with lower taxation.

This resolution modifies the previous list, detailed in Resolution NAC-DGERCGC15-00000052, incorporating new jurisdictions that directly affect tax implications in Albania, Armenia, as well as the tax regime of Georgia and the status of Gibraltar as a tax haven.

These tax changes in Ecuador reflect an effort to update and refine the country's tax policy in response to global dynamics, ensuring a fair and equitable framework for tax administration.
